Caitlin Noss

Describe your typical day
We see what items we will need for the day, get those items and then I’ll start preparing whatever we’ll need for lunch. Terry may help me if there is a lot to do. Then I help out with food for a party or an event. If it’s possible I might even prep food for the next day. I may restock, or help out Dustin with what he has to do for the day. I’ll do whatever they need me to do.

How long have you worked here?
It will be two years in May.

What were your previous jobs?
I’ve always worked in a kitchen. My previous job, before coming to LCC was at a buffet. I did prep and I would work on the salad bar and grill. It was the Family House Restaurant, but it’s closed now.

What did you want to be when you were growing up?
A marine biologist. I love the water and the bright tropical fish and all of the marine wildlife.

Do you have any pets?
I used to have  a lot of pets when I lived back home because we lived on a farm, but now I’m not allowed to have pets in the apartment where I live.

Where would you like to go on vacation?
I’d like to go anywhere that’s warm and has a nice beach, anywhere that doesn’t have winter.

What is your favorite food?
I love to eat chicken tikka masala. I like to make buerre blanc and chicken. I just throw the chicken in the buerre blanc and leave it in the sauce until it’s nice and juicy.

What is your favorite TV show?
Currently I’ve been watching Once Upon A Time and Terry got me into watching Alcatraz. When I was a kid I used to watch ALF with my Dad.

What is your favorite movie?
Crash

What is your favorite kind of music?
Anything, but mainly I listen to Ben Taylor, Gotye, Ryan Adams, it changes so much for me.

What is the best compliment you could receive?
I like it when I make food for my friends and family and they just love it and are going crazy over it. Then the next thing you know it’s gone. That just really makes me feel good.

If you could meet any famous person who would it be?
Steven Tyler. It would be neat to see him out doing something or at a bar hanging out.

If you could go back in time and give the teen age version of yourself advice, what would you tell her?
I would tell her that you need to go to school. You can’t skip classes all the time. Focus more on your future. Care about doing your homework, and don’t just do enough to slide by, really make an effort.
